Context
The association Une Patte dans la Main, recognized as being of general interest, is dedicated to animal welfare, particularly rescue, foster care, and adoption. However, it was facing significant organizational difficulties. Their administrative processes relied on inadequate tools, with documents scattered across three separate Google Drive spaces. Additionally, PDF forms were often completed by hand by foster families or adopters, leading to risks of misunderstandings and delays. This is when Eve Gaborit and I stepped in.
Our mission
The main challenge was to transform these fragmented and manual administrative processes into a centralized digital platform. UPDM approached us for the complete creation of this administrative tool, including interface and technical development, as well as redesigning their website and creating email signatures. For this first milestone, our intervention focused on understanding the needs and designing mockups for the administrative tool and processes.
The specific objectives of the project were clear:
- Improve administrative processes by digitizing them and centralizing all documents in an intuitive tool, aiming to reduce overall administrative time for adoptions, foster care, and member management by 50% after the platform launch.
- Centralize documents for processes and tracking of each animal or member in a single tool, with a goal of 100% of new documents and existing documents uploaded and accessible via the centralized platform within two months of its launch.
We therefore embarked on designing and developing a progressive web application (PWA), responsive and accessible.
The project is currently in development, with a launch planned for September 2025.
